We use ours for an empty wall space in our great room and love it! Goes with about any decor, just a few decorative pieces on it or practical stuff. Check measurements on slmhelves and overall size to be sure you know final size.
We chose this bookcase to replace a smaller one and didn’t want to move the picture above and to the right of the first picture. This unit was easy for one person to assemble (although it did take two of us to get it upstairs). The instructions are not very detailed, but it’s not difficult to figure out. All the hardware and a Phillips screwdriver is included. It also comes with two anchors to keep the bookcase from toppling over in the event of an earthquake (very important here in CA). Assembly takes a couple of hours. Give yourself plenty of space and a cordless screwdriver is a big help. The frame is metal and the shelves are a composite board with a wood like print. We hope this lasts awhile.
Excuse the cluttered mess, but this shelf was perfect for my diy plant case – really nice dimensions for strip lights, and definitely sturdy enough to hold 10 gallon potted plants on each tier + more. Assembly was straight forward, love the way it looks. Debating on getting another and positioning them against each other to make a ziggurat shape. 🙂
Easy to assemble but it took me hours to do due to all of the many parts. Looks great in my daughter’s room!
Very easy to put together. In total probably only took 1.5 hours to put together. Decent quality especially for the price. I love the look and design. Makes stacking my books fun. I definitely recommend it if you want something different from an ordinary bookshelf.

This shelf was purchased to go in a small room devoted to reading that has a steep low ceiling. We have it so that the unit’s descending shelves align with the descent of the ceiling. Since this is a Hobbit Reading Room with sections devoted to J.R.R. Tolkien, I also have items besides books on the shelves. It is elegant and sturdy enough. I am careful not to put more weight on shelves than what they can bear. These hold enough weight to be useful. I recommend this unit and if I find the right space, will purchase another one or two.
This is a really lovely shelf, it looks amazing in my living room. I put it together by myself easily in under an hour. I did use my drill to tighten all screws as opposed to the enclosed screwdriver, just easier. It is rock solid and VERY strong, I have my 8g aquarium sitting on one of the shelves, which is around 80-90 pounds with all the decor factored in. Definitely a beautiful item I will have for many, many years!
These shelves are perfect for under the stairwell! Our pantry is a strange shape because of it’s location, so there was lots of unused space. I tried to make it work with baskets on the floor, but very hard to keep organized and then locate things. I found these shelves, hubby put them together, and they are PERFECT! They added just enough space that I feel like my pantry is complete and I’ll be able to keep it organized. If you need storage space under a stairwell, you won’t go wrong with these! Comes in both black and white, I chose white to match my existing shelves and they really look great!
